We are Tanie and Jacqueline Guy, full-time missionaries, teachers and speakers, serving under the banner of Forget-Me-Not Ministries, which is based just outside Washington, D.C.
We have a passion for missions and care deeply for those who serve in missions. Our lives are devoted to ministering to, with, and for God’s frontline warriors.
Missions is out-of-the-box work. Missionaries face unique challenges.
Every year at least 5,000 missionaries leave the field unnecessarily because of excessive stress involving personal, family, social, and ministry hardships.
What makes us unique as “missionaries to missionaries” is that we partner with and minister to the spiritual, emotional and physical well-being of God’s frontline warriors. We bring compassion, encouragement, healing and help…right where they’re at.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
(Matt 11:28-29)
About the Founders
Early in their marriage, Tanie and Jacqueline discovered that God brought them together to grow in a shared love for missions and for the care and well-being of missionaries. They attribute their passion for missions ministry to the churches that nurtured and discipled them in placing high value on world missions.
The Guys launched into missions ministry part-time in 2000, training as short-term mission leaders with Teen Missions International and leading their first mission to the remote Vanuatu island of Ambae in the summer of 2001. Shortly thereafter, they assumed the leadership role of the Missions Ministry in their church, while continuing to train and lead short-term mission trips.
In 2004, it was clear to the Guys that God had been preparing them to discern and minister to the unmet emotional and spiritual needs of the missionaries they were serving. This realization came at the same time when their church entered into a season of focused teachings on healing ministry. As a result, Tanie and Jacqueline devoted themselves to training in healing ministry with an array of teachings from such ministries as Restoring the Foundations (Chester and Betsy Kylstra), Christian Healing Ministries (Francis and Judith MacNutt), Elijah House (John and Paula Sandford), Be In Health Ministries (Henry Wright), Global Awakening Christian Healing (Randy Clark), and The Life Model (Shepherd’s House).
In 2005, Tanie transitioned out of 25 years of full-time employment in the information technology sector to pursue ordination and full-time ministry. When home, Tanie & Jacqueline devote there time to prayer, staying connected with missionaries in the field, and writing. Their hearts are always yearning to minister to God’s frontline warriors, both on the field and here at home, where their door is always opened to missionaries traveling through the Washington, D.C. area.
